背景介绍(Background):

This protein is a secreted ligand of the TGF-beta (transforming growth factor-beta) superfamily of proteins. Ligands of this family bind various TGF-beta receptors leading to recruitment and activation of SMAD family transcription factors that regulate gene expression. The encoded preproprotein is proteolytically processed to generate each subunit of the disulfide-linked homodimer, which plays a role in bone and cartilage development. Duplication of a regulatory region downstream of this gene causes a form of brachydactyly characterized by a malformed index finger and second toe in human patients. Bone morphogenetic protein 2 (BMP2) is a member of the transforming growth factor beta (TGF-β) superfamily. It is a classical morphogen and a molecule that acts at a distance and whose concentration influences cell behavior. BMP2 is currently the only Food and Drug Administration-approved osteoinductive growth factor used as a bone graft substitute. BMP-2 can induce ectopic bone and cartilage formation in adult vertebrates and is involved in central steps in early embryonal development in animals. In mesenchymal cells, the concentration of BMP2 influences myogenesis, adipogenesis, chondrogenesis, and osteogenesis. The human Bmp2 gene also has been linked to osteoporosis and osteoarthritis. In addition, all forms of pathological calcification in the vasculature and in cardiac valves involve the pro-osteogenic BMP2. BMP-2 has been shown to have two modes of signal transfer: (i) BMP-2 binds to a preformed complex of BMPR-IA and BMPR-II that triggers clathrin-mediated endocytosis and initiates the canonical Smad-signaling pathway. (ii) BMP-2 binds to its high affinity receptor BMPR-IA, upon which BMPR-II is recruited into the complex, forming a BMP-induced signaling complex resulting in its internalization via caveolae and activation of the non-Smad, mitogen-activated protein kinase pathway.

保存(Storage):

Use a manual defrost freezer and avoid repeated freeze - thaw cycles.
12 months from date of receipt, -20 to -70℃ as supplied.
1 month, 2 to 8℃ under sterile conditions after reconstitution.
6 months, -20 to -70℃ under sterile conditions after reconstitution.
